Crystalline silicon thin-film module technology - CSG 100

Like convetional solar modules, CSG solar modules also utilize silicon. Unlike conventional solar modules, however, no silicon wafers are needed in their production. The silicon is extracted directly from silane gas and is applied onto a textured glass surface as a very thin layer of only a few microns (CSG = crystalline silicon on glass). All necessary electrical contacts are created using special laser and ink-jet printing techniques.

The main advantages of CSG modules are:

  • Poly-crystalline silicon solar module with all the advantages of thin-film technology

  • Excellent long-term stability, very low degradation

  • Low resource consumption during production

  • Aesthetically pleasing exterior
